The owners of a door factory in Koriukivka will receive roughly $3.6 million in damages from Russia, a commercial court ruled on Friday. The payment compensates for the destruction of production buildings during drone strikes last November, leaving the facility largely unusable.

On November 25, 2025, Russian drones targeted the city of Koriukivka in Chernihiv Oblast. The attacks struck the interior door manufacturing plant directly and with falling debris. The court awarded Korfad LLC 161.31 million hryvnia, approximately $3.54 million, based on an assessment by Expert Consulting Firm Desna-Expert LLC.

The bulk of the financial loss stems from a 12,815 square meter production building on Zavodska Street, which sustained 143.84 million hryvnia in damage. That amount equals about $3.16 million. A 481 square meter carpentry shop on Sadova Street suffered 5.81 million hryvnia in losses. A 532 square meter logistics warehouse on the same street lost 6.44 million hryvnia, while a 465 square meter maintenance station at 4 Sadova Street accounted for another 5.2 million hryvnia.

The court ordered Russia, represented by the Prosecutor General's Office, to pay the full assessed damage amount. The ruling also requires payment of 225,000 hryvnia for technical building inspections and 162,500 hryvnia for the independent damage assessment. These costs bring the total payout slightly above the initial damage estimate.

Korfad LLC, known as the Koriukivka Door Factory, is founded by Oleksandr Mysnyk, Mykola Mysnyk, and Lidiia Mysnyk. Oleksandr Mysnyk also serves as the company's head. The business produces panelled and flush interior doors and mouldings, utilizing Italian Sincropan coatings. The company's production facilities cover a total area of 15,000 square meters.

This ruling follows a similar decision by the Odesa Oblast Commercial Court. That court ordered Russia to pay 291.59 million hryvnia, or $6.49 million, to Expansion Retail PrJSC for the destruction of the Fozzy shopping centre by a missile strike.
