Nine months have passed since Nancy Guthrie vanished from her Tucson home, and her daughter Savannah Guthrie issued a renewed appeal for public help on Sunday. The TODAY co-host shared a drawing by her young daughter on Instagram, depicting a blue umbrella surrounded by raindrops. The artwork included the caption, "I know it might not seem like it but I really need my mommy." Guthrie stated that the child's work expressed her own feelings about the ongoing disappearance.

The host addressed her immediate family in the social media post, naming Annie, Tommy, Cam, Kristine, and Mike. She described the family's emotional state with the words, "we ache for her, we cry out for answers, we cannot move forward." Guthrie urged the public to share any information they possessed, asking, "We need someone to help us, tell us what you know." This plea comes nearly three years after the initial report, though the timeline remains anchored to the specific events of the investigation.

Nancy Guthrie was reported missing on Feb. 1, 2026. Authorities confirmed the incident involved a ransom demand. The Pima County Sheriff’s Department leads the investigation with FBI assistance. Despite these resources, the case has not yielded major breakthroughs. A hair sample found in the victim's residence was tested in July and did not identify a suspect. The task force recently traveled to Florida to consult with lab scientists on potential next steps for the case.

Guthrie described her mother as a light in the world and expressed a desire for answers so the family can celebrate her life. She noted that a reward for information remains available to the public. The family has been fundamentally changed by the tragedy, and the host emphasized the need for dignity in the resolution of the case. She concluded her post with a direct request: "We are begging you. Please help us."
