Coronation Street: Christina Boyd Reveals Biological Ties to Lucy Parkinson
A dropped keyring exposes a decades old secret while Daniel Osbourne's article is accepted for print.
By Nathan Reed ·

Christina Boyd revealed on Thursday that she is the biological grandmother of Lucy Parkinson.
The truth came to light after Christina dropped a keyring containing a photo of her late daughter, Rachel. Lucy found the item and connected the resemblance, ending Christina's long secret. Christina had given Rachel up for adoption when the child was only a few months old.
The revelation followed a discovery Christina made while watching a video on Lucy's phone. She saw Rachel's husband, Richie, whisper to her in the background of the clip. Rachel's expression changed immediately after the whisper. Christina told George Shuttleworth that Richie's behavior mirrored Todd Grimshaw's conduct during his conflict with Theo Silverton. She stated that she was certain Richie was guilty of Rachel's murder.
Actors Tony Maudsley and Amy Robbins portray George and Christina. Anya Dewin plays Lucy. The show airs on Monday, November 2.
Viewers will see Christina continue to suspect Richie of killing Rachel despite George's advice to let the police handle the case. She will write a letter to Richie asking for a visit to determine his character. In a separate storyline, Daniel Osbourne will learn that the Gazette agreed to publish his article. He will share the news with his family. Ken will be happy, while Adam and Alya Nazir will hide their guilt.
Idris will overhear Carla Connor-Swain discussing a hotel meeting with Lisa. He will see an opportunity when the client leaves. Marco Rhodes will downplay a cut on his arm, causing Gary Windass to worry that Marco is being bullied. Maria Connor will ask Gary to stay out of it. Summer Spellman will visit Marco in his cell and ask Ross Wilkes to look after him.
Ross will tell Marco that he has signed him up for a cleaning job to keep him busy. The episode will end with Ross finding Marco alone in his cell and initiating a conversation.
