Three additional women contacted police to describe separate physical incidents with Green Bay Packers running back Josh Jacobs following his May arrest, according to records released Friday night. The Hobart/Lawrence Police Department provided the documents in response to a public records request. NBC 26 was the first to report the release of the evidence.
The first account involves an incident that occurred on Jan. 5, 2022. The woman stated that after spending roughly 11 hours at Jacobs' home, he slapped her across the face and threw her phone into a swimming pool when she tried to leave. She alleged he grabbed her by the hair, pinned her on a bed, and threw her to the floor while saying, 'I should kill you right now.' She told police she did not report the event at the time because she remained friends with Jacobs and feared her story would not be believed. She contacted authorities this time because she believed the behavior matched the May 2026 case.
A second woman described an encounter in April 2021. She said a condom broke during sex, leading her to ask Jacobs to get tested for sexually transmitted diseases. Jacobs allegedly removed her from the residence, grabbed her arms, pushed her against a wall, and threw her belongings out. The woman reported bruises on her arms and swelling in her rib area. However, police records from that incident noted that officers observed no visible signs of injury, bruising, or damage consistent with a physical altercation.
The third woman met Jacobs through social media and flew to his residence in May 2022. She described an altercation where he grabbed her hair, placed his hands on her head and neck, dragged her, and scratched her chest. She also said he took her phone after it fell to the floor. The woman cited bruises on her arm and scratches to her chest and neck. She explained that she avoided reporting the incident because she was not a U.S. citizen at the time and Jacobs told her she could face deportation.
Jacobs pleaded no contest on Sept. 10 to misdemeanor counts of battery and criminal damage to property. He was arrested on May 26, three days after an incident in which a woman said he threw her to the ground. The NFL placed Jacobs on the commissioner's exempt list in August, causing him to miss the first six games of the season. NFL spokesman Brian McCarthy said Saturday that the league would review the new allegations as part of its ongoing investigation.
Lawyers for Jacobs, including David Z. Chesnoff, Richard A. Schonfeld, and Clarence F. Duchac III, issued a statement on Saturday. They noted that the Brown County District Attorney's office had the uncorroborated, old, and previously unreported allegations for months. The statement said the D.A. determined only two misdemeanor charges were warranted and that Jacobs has repeatedly expressed remorse while honoring the terms of the plea agreement.
The records also provided new details regarding the May 23 incident that led to the original arrest. The complainant told police that Jacobs lunged at her, pinned her on a bed with his body weight on her chest, and put his hand on her mouth and nose. She stated she felt she could not breathe and believed she lost consciousness for a brief time when the confrontation moved to the garage. Jacobs is a three-time Pro Bowl selection who led the league in rushing in 2022 for the Las Vegas Raiders before joining Green Bay in 2024. He returned to the field two weeks ago and scored twice in a win over the Carolina Panthers.
During that game, Jacobs celebrated a touchdown by placing his hands behind his back. The move drew immediate backlash from viewers given his offseason arrest. Jacobs said he was modeling the celebration after a gospel song called 'Break Every Chain.' The Packers had no immediate comment on the new records.
