Amanda Serrano will stop boxing after one final fight on home soil. The Puerto Rican champion has set a date for her farewell bout, which will take place at the Coliseo de Puerto Rico in San Juan on January 9, 2027.

Her promoter, Most Valuable Promotions, has branded the event "The Last Walk." Serrano will defend her unified WBO and WBA featherweight world titles against Australian challenger Skye Falzon. Serrano enters the ring with a professional record of 50 wins, four losses, and one draw, with 32 of those victories coming by knockout.

At 38 years old, Serrano is also pursuing a personal milestone. She currently shares the all-time women's knockout record with American Christy Martin. A victory by knockout would give her sole ownership of that mark. She remains the only undisputed boxing champion in Puerto Rico's history.

Serrano reflected on her career in a statement provided by her team. She said, "Boxing has been my life and I never could have imagined the journey it would take me and my family on." She traced the growth of the women's sport from small theater venues to headlining Madison Square Garden in New York. She expressed pride in opening doors for upcoming female fighters.

Her rivalry with Ireland's Katie Taylor defined the latter part of her career. In 2022, the two became the first women to headline Madison Square Garden. They fought a trilogy, with Taylor winning the third match by majority decision in 2025. Serrano holds a Guinness World Record for winning titles across seven different weight divisions.

In 2023, Serrano fought in the first women's unified world championship bout to go the full 12 three-minute rounds. She later vacated her WBC title to maintain her commitment to equal rules for men and women. Nakisa Bidarian and Jake Paul, founders of Most Valuable Promotions, called the event a celebration of an athlete who changed the sport. They stated that the January 9 date marks the end of her time in the ring.

Challenger Skye Falzon is also 38 years old. She arrives in San Juan with a record of 12 wins and two losses, including seven knockouts.
