Rare Beauty, the cosmetics brand founded by Selena Gomez, has released a limited-edition eyewear collection in partnership with Warby Parker. The collaboration introduces five optical and sunglass styles inspired by the color palette of Rare Beauty's Soft Pinch Liquid Blush. Megan Skiendiel of the group Katseye serves as the face of the new campaign.
The collection is available now through Warby Parker's website and physical retail locations. Prices for the frames start at $95. Each style is named after a specific shade from the blush line and incorporates corresponding color tones into the frame or lens design.
Skiendiel appears in a series of beauty portraits that pair the new frames with matching makeup looks. She is a self-described fan of both brands. This campaign follows a recent advertisement for Rare Beauty that featured Gomez and Demi Lovato together, referencing their film Protection Protection Program.
The five styles include Franny, a rounded cat-eye frame in chestnut inspired by the Resilience shade. Elwell is a vintage-inspired design with neutral pink lenses based on the Encourage shade. Millie consists of sculptural oval sunglasses in a rose finish, drawing from the Worth shade. Gillian is an oversized optical frame in nude mauve inspired by Hope, while Albie is a minimalist metal design with deep berry lenses based on the Faith shade.
Each pair of glasses includes custom packaging with a cream-colored case and a painterly lens cloth. The partnership also includes charitable components. Warby Parker has made a donation to the Rare Impact Fund, which supports mental health resources for young people. The retailer will also maintain its Buy a Pair, Give a Pair program, donating a pair of glasses to individuals in need for every pair sold.
The Soft Pinch Liquid Blush is a signature product for Rare Beauty, known for its high pigmentation and wide range of shades. Skiendiel has appeared in other major fashion campaigns this year, including a viral spot for Gap and a lip tint collection with Korean skincare brand Laneige.
